BRAKE PIPE INFORMATION 1971 ONWARDS

Description

This list pertains to all RHD cars from 1971 with dual circuit brakes. Brake pipes required per car, as well as which item in the relevant diagram:
34321107610 – master cylinder to lower brake booster**  (#6)
34321107612 – master cylinder to upper brake booster*  (#7)
34321107619 – upper brake booster* to left hand corner (#1)
34321113567 – lower brake booster** to left hand corner (#2)
34321107621 – lower brake booster ** to right hand corner (#4)
34321107623 – upper brake booster * to right hand corner (#5)
34321107625 – lower brake booster** to rear axle T-piece (#1)
34324450312 – rear axle T-piece to left hand flexible hose (#10)
34324450313 – rear axle T-piece to right hand flexible hose (#6)
34321107719 – left hand wheel cylinder to flexible hose (#11)
34321107720 – right hand wheel cylinder to flexible hose (#5)

* Upper brake booster controls the brake circuit that’s dedicated to the front brakes (front circuit), and is located above and behind the lower booster.
** Lower brake booster controls the brake circuit that’s connected to both the front and rear brakes (split circuit). This booster has an extra brake pipe connected to it that runs to the rear axle. It is positioned below and forward of the upper booster.

The last pipe on a 2002 chassis is the clutch pipe that runs from the clutch master cylinder, across the firewall and down to the flexible hose:
